2008 Oredigger MTB Challenge @ SolVista
The Oredigger MTB Challenge will be held at SolVista Basin on September 13 and 14. The event is open to the public and collegiate athletes. Collegiate athletes will race in classes designated A, B, or C and members of the public will race in the USAC Open class.
Pre-Registration
Deadline for online registration is Tuesday, September 9th at midnight. Online reg fees incurred by promoter, not registrant.
Cost
Short Track $20 - Cross Country $20 - Downhill $20
2 events for $35 - 3 for $50
Lift tickets are $10/day for racers and spectators
Prizes
All event entry fees for Open categories will be pooled and awarded in cash as follows:
75% Payback for Open categories (DH and XC): 1st - 35%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%

Saturday, September 13th
Registration:
8:30-12:30 for all events - (XC registration closes 30 minutes before start)
XC Open for Practice: 10:00-11:30
DH Open for Practice: 10:00-5:00
Cross Country Race:

Men's Collegiate A - 12:00 (5 laps)
Men's Collegiate B - 12:03 (4 laps)
USAC Open - 12:06 (4 laps)
Women's Collegiate A - 12:09 (4 laps)
Men's Collegiate C - 12:12 (3 laps)
Women's Collegiate B - 12:15 (3 laps)
Sunday, September 14th
Registration:
7:30-9:00 for STXC - (STXC registration closes 30 minutes before start)
8:00-9:00 for DH
Short Track Race:
Women's Collegiate B - 8:00, 15 minutes + 2 laps
Men's Collegiate C - 8:30, 15 minutes + 2 laps
Women's Collegiate A - 9:00, 20 minutes + 2 laps
Men's Collegiate B - 9:35, 20 minutes + 2 laps
Men's Collegiate A - 10:10, 25 minutes + 2 laps
Downhill Race:
Practice - 10:00-10:30
First start time - 11:00
Start times will be issued in this order:
- Men's A, Men's B, Men's C, Women's A, Women's B, USAC Open
High Speed Contest! That's right, we've got a radar gun and we're asking you to go as
fast as possible on the DH! During your race run, your speed will be recorded at the last road
crossing (after the big 'ski jump') on trail #2. The day's fastest rider will receive $100. Simple.
Additional info
- Bring your slalom bikes to take part in the pump track and single slalom collegiate world champs :)
- Camping will be allowed at the base area parking lot.
- SolVista now has a bike shop, bike rentals, and restaurant at the base area.

CSM Cycling is proud to announce the 4th Annual Oredigger Classic, scheduled for April 5 & 6, 2008. As a part of the Colorado School of Mines E-Days celebration, this year's event will be the biggest yet. New for 2008, CSM Alumni, faculty, and current students race free!

Online Registration
Online registration is *CLOSED* for the Oredigger Classic! Go here to register. Deadline for online registration is 04/03/08 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Hill Climb
A 4-mile individual time trial to the top of famous Lookout Mountain. This is a challenging climb and steep grades can be expected! Course map.
Circuit Race
A 2-km course around the CSM campus with fast descents, a good climb, and great turns to ensure a close race and good times. Course map.
Cost
One event for $20 - Both events for $35 - Juniors race free
Additional $5 for onsite USAC registrations. One day USAC license $10 per day. No refunds; race rain or shine.

Directions
Golden is located ~12 miles west of Denver. Race signage will be posted on both sides of 6th Avenue a quarter mile from the race location. Additional directions provided on flyer.

Vendor space available! If you or your company are interested in putting up a booth at the 2008 Oredigger Classic, please contact Brandon Turman. Over the course of the weekend, an estimated 600+ people will be in attendance or spectating. All we are asking for in return is a small product donation to help with prize efforts.
