Membership Requirements

Students in any department are encouraged to apply. To be considered for membership, the following criteria regarding the student's undergraduate educational level must be met.

Freshman and Sophomore:
 
  1. At least three MACS courses completed at Mines (1 for transfer or advanced placement students)
  2. Minimum mathematics GPA of 3.5
  3. Class ranking in the top 15% of the class
Juniors:
 
  1. At least four MACS courses completed at Mines (1 for transfer students)
  2. Minimum mathematics GPA of 3.5
  3. Class ranking in the top 25% of the class
Seniors:
 
  1. At least five MACS courses completed at Mines (1 for transfer students)
  2. Minimum mathematics GPA of 3.5
  3. Class ranking in the top 35% of the class
