Top 25 Poll

4-28-06 Another awesome day in Utah. It started with some consolation game shenanigans and good times with/against Western. We threw sticks, split teams and shared jerseys. Then a day of watching lacrosse and team bonding. Later that night we had our end of the year banquet and All-Conference winners were announced. Mike Stone received First Team All-Conference for goalie. Scott O'Connor received Second Team All-Conference for midfield. Then three Honorable Mention All-Conference Danny Rabiolo (attack), Trent Noonan (defense) and Bud Ribley (midfield). And last, but certainly not least, Dan Hunter received Coach of the Year for all of Division B. Congrats to everyone and let's bring it next year.

4-27-06 Logan, Utah. Playoffs started out Thursday when we faced off against Fort Lewis. An awesome day for lacrosse but we just couldn't put together a consistent effort. We scored 7 unanswered goals right before the end of the half to bring the game to 8-7. We came out scoring first in the second half and tying the game. After that we got out scored and played to the end result of 16-12. While it was the best showing any Mines' club lacrosse team has made it left most feeling empty. Just more fuel for the fire next year. A big thanks to all the seniors we will miss you and the team won't be the same without you.

4-15-06 Not quite sure if lacrosse was made for double headers but we came out 1-1 on the weekend. Losing in the first game to the best team in our league, Utah Valley State College, 13-9. We fought hard the whole game after coming out lossing 5-1 after the first quarter. We played them even after that, but just couldn't manage the win. After two hours of rest we played CSU-Pueblo and won 12-4. We got a chance to get everyone in the game and came out on top. Thanks again to Pueblo for hosting.

4-12-06 A rough one out in Greeley. We ended up having 1 substitute in the second half of the game. We lost 16-2 to the same team we lost 12-7 earlier in the season. A wakeup call to the team as we have had low turnouts to practice and obviously were missing people for the game. We will get it back on track as we have 2 more regular season games left to play down in Pueblo this weekend.

4-1-06 20 hours of driving and a well played game against Montana State rounded off our weekend. Taking the DiggerBus out to Bozeman was a fun team experience, especially on Apirl Fool's day. We ended up losing to Montana St. 14-8, and losing two players to injuries in the game. Parker went to the hospital and Kevin had a shoulder injury. It was a very physical game, but also was a 6 goal improvement from our loss last year of 17-5. We definitely missed our two big men with Trent and Danny both missing this game, but we will hopefully see Montana again in the playoffs with a fully healed and accounted for team. Thanks again to Montana for hosting.

3-29-06 After a long relaxing break from lacrosse with spring break and a week off of practice we drove out to Casper and took it to Wyoming 9-3.

3-17-06 Well, we will see them in the playoffs. We lost to Fort Lewis 16-11. Tal played a great game stepping up in cage while Stone was gone.

3-9-06 The second regular season MDIA Division B Top 25 Poll came out today. We are almost up into the top 25. Check out this link for the full story, Top 25.

3-7-06 Lloyd Cisneros needs our help everyone! Please read this article and check out this website to help. Also new pictures of our Northern Colorado game are now up.

3-4-06 Moving on up to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 on the road to the playoffs. The final score was 13-7. As usual it was a clean, fun, physical game with Western State. Thanks again for those guys driving on up and good luck against DU. Coach has given us a couple days off to rest our beated bodies so we will be back at it Wednesday. So now we have to get ready for the much anticipated game against the Fort on Friday the 17th at home.

3-1-06 Were now 2-1 on the season. We lost 12-7 to Northern Colorado. It's been rough playing so many games this close together, we have missed A.J. and Chris Patton in the midfield and Zona, Cole and Woot have been sick after that interesting (to say the least) hotel room we stayed in NM. But we are going to keep working away as we prepare for a big game against Western State on Saturday.

2-26-06 We returned from yet another eventful road trip, this time to New Mexico, with a 7-4 win over an up and coming New Mexico team. It was a hot day in NM and the Lobos first game of the year. We ended up with a few casualties from our Regis game so we were missing 3 starters... one at each position. But we all had fun and look forward to seeing them next year for some divisional play.

2-23-06 After 60 man hours of shoveling our lacrosse field, a rescheduled game and finally our match up against Regis we came out on top 15-7. There were quite a few injuries on both sides but that's the game we play. Thanks again to the Regis guys for coming up and good luck with your season.

2-17-06 Bio pages are up for everyone on the roster (except if you haven't given me a picture). Check them out by going to the roster and clicking on the players name.

2-16-06 Photos for our scrimmage against Metro on Feb. 4th are up, courtesy of Mike Patterson. Bio pictures and a new roster are also in the near future so check back!

2-11-06 Thanks to everyone who could come out to last nights fundraiser and support us. We hope everyone had an awesome time and will be back next year. You are helping with travel costs and general costs of playing an expensive sport. So, thanks again!

2-4-06 Yea it feels good! Got the first W of the year in our scrimmage today against Metro State. Final score was 11-2. Thanks to all the Metro guys for coming out and good luck with the season. Also, we want to give a big thanks to the largest crowd we have had in a long time... and it was only a scrimmage. Seems like we are all pumped for the upcoming season so hopefully that will carry over into practice all week as we prepare for our first game, that will count towards playoffs, versus Regis the 18th.

1-31-06 Updated the roster to reflect the people coming to practice and who seem to still be playing. If your not on the roster and want to be, send me all your information and I will throw you on. Bio pages to come soon so be checking back for them.

1-27-06 Videos should be working now. Just click the link on the left. They are just videos of our indoor box season. Hopefully we will be able to put more and more up and eventually if someone records some full games we could put those up as well.

1-26-6 YES! Field Lacrosse is coming to Denver! Our team will be the Outlaws. Hopefully together as a team we can buy up some season tickets. I know I will be getting mine. Also they are doing some booster club stuff to "contribute to the amazing growth lacrosse has experienced in the Denver area". So hopefully we can get in on that. But that's my job, not your guys. Check out there site here.

1-25-06 Practice is going really well even though it's been cold. It's awesome to see so many guys coming out and really nice to have some dedicated coaching staff in Dan Hunter, Terry DeBell and Rob Applegate. Just wanted to remind everyone about the upcoming tournament and to check out the Fundraising page which has a prize list and the rest of the information about the tournament. Also we have our first game next Saturday. It's only a scrimmage but should be awesome to be playing field lacrosse again after 10 weeks of the indoor box style lacrosse, like the Mammoth, that 14 of us have been playing. Also added a few new photos from 2005.

1-23-06 Practice starts today. IM Field South- Mon., Wed., Thu., and Fri. 4 p.m to 6 p.m. (Open until 7 p.m) IM Field North-Tue. 4 p.m. until Dark.

1-19-06 The whole team is really excited about the upcoming season. It is looking like it's going to be one of the best in a long time. Just have a few announcements, our second annual Texas Hold 'Em Fundraiser has been set for February 10th at 6:00 p.m. For more info click on the Fundraising link to the left. Second announcement, practice will start this coming Monday not sure on the time yet, just check your e-mail. Last one, our final indoor box game will be this Sunday at 9:45, so wish the few good luck.

10-16-05 We had our fall ball finishing alumni game Saturday. Thanks to everyone who made it out. It was an awesome time meeting some of the more experienced players and having a cook out afterwards. The young guns ending up winning on the last goal of the game in a makeshift overtime. Thanks again to everyone who came out.

10-10-05 Just got back from our tournament in Gunnison. We were 2-2 on the weekend losing to Fort Lewis and Western State. We beat CSU Pueblo both times we played them. Some of the guys also made it to the women's volleyball game where we did a little cheering Saturday night, it was a blast. Stats for the weekend will be up as soon as Western sends them to us.

10-2-05 After a very eventful road trip to Kansas we ended up losing our game against Kansas State 5-8 and then an hour later played Nebraska and lost 3-8. More in depth results are shown on the stats page.

9-26-05 We finished our first game of the season against a local men's club team Altitude. The score ended up 9-10 in favor of Altitude. Thanks to all the Altitude guys for coming up to Golden to play us, it was a lot of fun. You helped us get ready for our tournaments the next two weekends, Kansas and Durango.

9-25-05 Team president Scott O'Connor and coach Dan Hunter went to the League meeting in Durango and decided upon our Spring schedule. So check it out in the Schedule link. a
