Newcomer Information
The Society for
Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international medieval and
Renaissance reenactment group, focusing on recreating and researching
pre-17th-century European history.
The Students for Creative Anachronism at the Colorado School of Mines,
also known as Scola Metallorum, is a chapter of the SCA within the
Denver-Metro area or the Barony of Caerthe, which is
itself a chapter in the Kingdom
of the Outlands.
Most any activity which was done during the Middle Ages or the
Renaissance is reenacted in Society. Some of these activities include
armoured combat, fencing, archery, costuming, calligraphy and
illumination, embroidery, singing and music, dancing, cooking, brewing,
gaming, leather working, performance art and most other arts, sciences
and crafts. This is by no means a comprehensive list of possible
activities, but a general overview of what is avaiable.

person listed for various activites, or feel free to contact the
group's hopsitaller for anything not listed here.
