Information on and strip map to Kelsey Creek shooting range.

Kelsey Creek shooting range is best for pistols and small bore rifle because it is limited to about 35 yards in range. It is the best range for shooting adverse light (practice for personal protection) as there are no homes in the area. The roads up to the range turn off are all county maintained paved roads. The road to the range is short and smooth.

Information on and strip map to Shawnee shooting range.

Shawnee shooting range has two steel rifle benches and backstops at about 50 and 100 yards. There is also an area up the hill that some people use to stretch their rifle out to 200 yards. Unfortunately, there are a lot of houses in the area and some of the residents have complained about the noise from the range. In an attempt to keep from having to close the range completely the NFS has restricted the hours of use. Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM. The roads to the range turn off are county maintained and paved. The road to the range is about a half mile long, winding and up hill. A high clearence vehicle is necessary in good weather and become impassable during the winter for even four wheel drive vehicles.
