Thanks for your interest in TBP! Members eligible for initiation must meet the
following requirements:

Undergraduate students must be majoring in Chemical Engineering, General Engineering, Engineering Physics, Geological
Engineering, Geophysical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering. There are also high academic performance standards.

Interested students must be in the
- top 12.5% of the junior class
- top 20% of the senior class
- top 20% among graduate students
OR
submit a letter of recommendation from primary advisor

Graduate students must be pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Systems, Environmental Science and Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geophysical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering. Graduate students do not have specific GPA requirements, but must have completed at least half of coursework including research.

TBP sends out invitations each semester to all undergraduate students meeting
the eligibility requirements. If you feel you meet the requirements and did
not receive the letter, are a graduate student interested in initiation, or
