Hey look, I have a blog!

So just yesterday I was thinking to myself, “I’ve lived in Golden for about six months now. DANG. That’s half a year!” And indeed it seems impossible to me that this place called Mines has been part of my life for such a significant time now. So much has changed in such a short time, it doesn’t seem like it’s been half a year.

I’m new to this blogging thing, but it’s exciting for me to get to start this midway through the year.

My reaction at being offered a student blogger position.

So I guess I should fill you in on what my life at Mines has been like thus far. I wouldn’t say that my first semester here was the best four months of my life. Moving here, leaving my family, making new friends, it was a lot to go through all at once. It was toughest at the beginning, but I will now say with confidence that MINES IS AWESOME! I love it here, everything I’ve done and all the people I’ve met. It just took some time to get adjusted.
