Mail addressed using only the username will be delivered on the system from which it is sent (e.g., Slate). If the name does not exist on that system, the mail will be returned to the sender. If mail is addressed to username@mines, the mailer checks Slate first, and if it finds the account, delivers the mail. If it finds no account on Slate, it checks Flint and Nitro. If the account exists, the mail is delivered. If the account does not exist on any of the computers, the mail is delivered to the Postmaster.

Publicize your electronic address--on business cards, letterhead or other material--as username@mines.edu for Internet access.
