CSM Academic Computing & Networking: Getting Help
CSM Academic Computing & Networking (AC&N) offers several sources for help with computing issues:

- Search the AC&N website:
Use the AC&N "Web Search" tool at the top of most AC&N web pages, or via the AC&N Search page (http://www.mines.edu/academic/computer/search/).
- Search the AC&N FAQ database:
Use the AC&N FAQfinder search tool (http://www.mines.edu/academic/computer/faq/) to find common computing related issues. (There is a link to the FAQfinder interface on most AC&N web pages.)
- Browse Guides & References:
The AC&N Guides & References (http://www.mines.edu/academic/computer/docs/) include a wide range of topics. Example topics are: setting up your POP mail client, configuring a dialup connection to the CSM modems.
- Pick up Quick References Guides and handouts:
Quick Reference Guides and handouts on paper are available at the Computing Center Front Desk (CT156A).
- Central Computing Support Requests:
Open a ticket at http://helpdesk.mines.edu for Central Academic Computing & Networking related requests such as issues related to your email account; CSM Webmail; CSMCC accounts; or CTLM labs, computers or software; or web pages that are served by www.mines.edu.
- Academic Department Support Requests:
- See the Academic Department Support website (http://www.mines.edu/academic/computer/depttechsupport/).
- Use the Academic Department Support Request Form (http://helpdesk.mines.edu/) for Academic Department related support requests such as problems related to a department computer lab or desktop computer support.
