-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Academic Computing & Networking Colorado School of Mines http://helpdesk.mines.edu 303-273-3431 GC 231 April 15, 2004 This folder contains copies of the critical updates released by Microsoft on this date for a variety of Windows operating systems versions. Ordinarily, if your system is a managed system, it would already have these patches applied. If you manage your own system, you would probably be better off, generally, visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ instead of using these patches, since your system would then be examined and patches suggested specifically for your system. However, if you do not have sufficient Internet access at the moment (for example: you connect via a slow phone line; you have been denied access until you have patched your machine; a worm, virus or bad configuration has disabled your networking; or there is an active worm in the wild whose existence suggests you patch your machine before putting it on the network), you may find these pre-downloaded patches helpful. To install: Visit each subfolder, and double-click on the executable whose name matches your operating system and or program version; then follow the prompts. You may wish to review the .htm files, copied from microsoft.com, before proceeding. Generally you can install several patches one after another, saving the usually required reboot for the end. Some of the files may have been slightly renamed from the original downloads to clarify what they apply to. AC&N recommends you have a current and verified backup before proceeding, and offers these files on an "as is" basis without warranty. A secure SHA1 checksum for the included files is given below, and the readme.txt has been signed with the GPG/PGP signature available at http://www.mines.edu/fs_home/dlarue/pgp/ These should be verified if you are uncertain of the provenance of these files. This folder is available for checkout on CD from the Computing Center Front Desk (Green Center 231) or by download from http://www.mines.edu/academic/computer/software/CDs/ What follows are the checksums of the executable files included. for /R %i in (*.exe) do @sha1sum.exe %i SHA1=EB926CB758B1179856D3C7BFFA58FBBCFDC7386D ms04-011\Windows2000-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=7B1C4AB0DAD9D7D219DFE2147198720E2720955C ms04-011\WindowsNT4Server-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=D0DD6BE1544721675553FF9F7F5D02227BCD2890 ms04-011\WindowsNT4TerminalServer-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=CCFDFAE66C5F32AC5B03E35389E8CA9A23EED53A ms04-011\WindowsNT4Workstation-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=89BBFCA78F340629DE49D0963F0429597F8CF1DA ms04-011\WindowsServer2003-KB835732-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=222DF5692AD170744DBE6CEA28CB68CFCB4FD9E9 ms04-011\WindowsServer2003-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=28018F462349A92E1C9B19B6F71C0D77F8C53782 ms04-011\WindowsXP-KB835732-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=833A50C3B47293A5C1EE008545DF2C8C7EFC310C ms04-011\WindowsXP-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=780D8AE38D17EAE87E8EF086D8EAC05C09B7AB61 ms04-012\Windows2000-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=719CFC8CC540024FF921211FBFF7BAD1964B568A ms04-012\WindowsNT4Server-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=C7DFCB13BF304010B8A844DCA3669302E10A55F5 ms04-012\WindowsNT4TerminalServer-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=C2FC30DBB447664B2CEBFAA057D22E9EC236D486 ms04-012\WindowsNT4Workstation-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=0540D16630661E1948A4A8876D298D7046ED0C98 ms04-012\WindowsServer2003-KB828741-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=998160C21B8ED23FB3CE12590A9B7C8F47B0D32A ms04-012\WindowsServer2003-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=589298251A54B89F2ACEC245D61EE3376748409E ms04-012\WindowsXP-KB828741-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=8E5E7D37C22F5E13E863092A67157A9F4C660886 ms04-012\WindowsXP-KB828741-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=D71A46EF9D139B626355C959D5E7894F65EF9F2F ms04-013\OE6.0sp1-KB837009-x86-ENU.exe SHA1=882A330E727BF0E52885584F2531CD30BEF26AAC ms04-013\Q837009-outlook-express-5.5-SP2.exe SHA1=69093A44D1E1E3111149702B3A183CCE9381F287 ms04-013\Q837009-outlook-express-6-SP1-64bit-for-XP-64bit-SP1.exe SHA1=231A718C122CBCFA22579E45651E03DACF08994D ms04-013\Q837009-outlook-express-6.exe SHA1=8E6438B87FDA769D14D7C5D495FD30CC14ACA2E0 ms04-013\WindowsServer2003-KB837009-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=6AC1327BC2A10824C93404917CCFAA3615A2F550 ms04-013\WindowsServer2003-KB837009-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=7D39FE87F120C13057AC10ECC1CC0B3F354EF23D ms04-014\Jet40-KB837001-ENU-WinNT.exe SHA1=1460F1E3B8CE39D5518DDC956DDBB23F97DDB01E ms04-014\Windows2000-KB837001-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=4777951B8FB44686A509B1DF1145D3613733B1CC ms04-014\WindowsServer2003-KB837001-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=0CFB2B6B20D3D0ED96713C268A379A8C81F6B366 ms04-014\WindowsServer2003-KB837001-x86-ENU.EXE SHA1=229AEAEC3544A9ADED5A0EF61089D1D4BCE86F91 ms04-014\WindowsXP-KB837001-IA64-ENU.EXE SHA1=87AD0EF2A9495306340553359841A942D2D4FB68 ms04-014\WindowsXP-KB837001-x86-ENU.EXE - -- David M.
