Web Services: About the Computing & Networking Web Servers
- Main CSM Web Server:
Www.mines.edu is the main CSM web server. It allows the web pages whose URLs begin with http://www.mines.edu/ to be viewed via the Internet. The computer is an IBM RS/6000 model M80. The OS software is AIX 5.1L. The web server software is Apache 2.0.59.
- CSM Search Engine:
The CSM Search Engine indexes CSM web pages and allows individuals to search for specific information or individuals. The search function is available on the CSM Home Page and is linked from many lower level pages.The Directory Search service (provided by Information Services) is another way to search for contact information for individuals.
- Secure Web Server:
The CSM Secure Web Server provides secure (SSL) access to some campus services that require authentication or verification that you are a member of the CSM community.
