Teaching Philosophy:
Ann Dozoretz applies business and marketplace cases to classroom subjects, on which she and her students are working. This allows real life situations (whether taken from an equipment manufacturer, retail outlet or a service organization) to make her courses relevant and applicable outside of the university. Textbook learning is routinely complemented by applying analytic techniques to a variety of publicly traded corporations and their challenges in today’s marketplaces.

Her courses emphasize student involvement and dialogue, in contrast, to a purely lecture approach. Professor Dozoretz’s classroom serves as a constant reminder that knowledge depends on the collaborative involvement and participation of students and professors alike.

In Ann Dozoretz’s classes you are invited to learn some of the "rules" and relevancies of accounting, its applications and interpretations, the advantages and disadvantages of utilizing its varied methods, and, ultimately, the benefits and risks associated with this discipline, which is so vital to surviving in our business-oriented society.

Courses Taught:
EBGN305: Financial Accounting
EBGN306: Managerial Accounting
EBGN505: Industrial Accounting
