MS, Mineral Economics, Colorado School of Mines

Teaching Philosophy:
Even though I find the subject of ‘engineering economy' to be exciting, I try to recognize that everyone may not initially share my level of enthusiasm for the subject. So, my philosophy is to try and present the subject matter in as timely and as relevant a method as feasible using a variety of investment scenarios. I enjoy working with individuals with different backgrounds and exposing them to the concepts of discounted cash flow analysis. Overall, I see my roll as one of providing each student with an understanding of a systematic group of techniques or tools that can be used to assess the economic potential of any investment scenario.
