BEFORE STARTING THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE, EACH PARTICIPANT SHOULD BE PREPARED TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING THREE TOPICS.
1) Selecting Wednesday Field Trip Preferences
Vail is located in central Colorado in an area that contains a large variety of landslide phenomena, and the area has undergone considerable development. Thus, Vail forms an ideal base for a series of 1-day Field Trips offered on Wednesday June 6, 2007, to all Conference participants - including accompanying persons - with costs included in their registration. Trips will by chartered buses and vans, and picnic lunches will be served. All these field trips will start from, and return to, the Conference hotel in Vail.
Each participant will be asked on the Registration forms to identify a FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD choice from among the several trips being offered. The Conference Organizers will attempt to satisfy these requests, but capacity constraints on some trips may result in some being filled to capacity. Field trip preferences will be assigned in the order they are received. Early registrants will have the best selection!

2) Review the "Field Trip Waiver" Form
Legal considerations demand that all participants on any field trip first review and then later ACCEPT the Conference "Field Trip Waiver" form. During the Registration Process you will be asked to check off that you ACCEPT the Terms & Conditions. If you do not ACCEPT them, you will not be allowed to participate in any of the Conference field trips.
3) Consider participation in optional activities
These include WORKSHOPS held on Sunday June 3, the optional Pre-Meeting and Post-Meeting Field Trips, and the "Gala Dinner" held on Thursday evening (June 7) which has a maximum capacity of 300 persons, so early purchase of tickets is recommended.
