Objectives
The conference is designed to provide a stimulating forum for geoscientists,
engineers, planners, economists, program managers, and other decision makers
concerned with landslide hazards and their impact on North American society.
There are four days of technical sessions (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)
and one day (Wednesday) of technical excursions, included in the registration fee.
The conference addresses the entire range of technical and social-economic policy
issues surrounding assessment and management of all types of slope instability.
Conference Proceedings
The Geo-Institute of ASCE will publish the Conference proceedings. ASCE standards
for publications will be followed - a minimum of two independent reviews of each
submission. Two Geotechnical Special Publications - a book of about 800 pages and
a CD-ROM - will together contain all the presentations made at the Conference.
