Supporting Organizations
The Conference has been organized with the direct financial support of the Association of
Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG), with significant endorsement and technical
support by the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Rock
Mechanics Association (ARMA), and the Canadian Geotechnical Society.
These societies represent the national interests of the United States and Canada of the
following International Professional Societies:
- The International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (IAEG)
- The International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM)
- The International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE)
In addition, the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of (U.S.) National Academies has
agreed to co-sponsor the Conference, thus making the Conference a part of its official
program of technology transfer.
