The Colorado School of Mines Explosives Engineering Society is a professional student organization. Our members, as our activities are diverse. Through our organizational activities, we seek to further our common interests in explosives engineering education and networking. We entertain a membership of only quality character with safety, responsibility, and openness as mandatory behavior.
All majors are welcome to join, not just mining majors.
Currently the majority of the chapter members are interested in the mining, metallurgy, and pyrotechnics aspects of explosive engineering. We encourage students interested in these fields and also those interested in the other applications of explosives engineering in chemistry, mechanical, construction, military, aerospace, and others to join.
Our current activities are having speakers at our meeting and planning trips to explosive engineering related sites. The chapter is planning longer term events and will post them in the future. The more quality members we have, the more that the student chapter of the ISEE can do in helping those who are interested in explosive engineering. If you have any questions, please contact an officer.
