physics education research

Physics Education Research - All of the faculty in the Physics Department are dedicated to  excellence in teaching.  Each course receives a detailed biannual  review, with the objective of improving its content and  effectiveness.  Beyond this, however, a number of faculty are  developing new strategies to help our students to learn.  Our primary  interest is identifying those best practices that make the Mines  educational experience uniquely beneficial.  However, many of these  projects have attracted national attention as examples of high-quality teaching.
