Financial Assistance

Eighty-five percent of all undergraduate students receive some type of financial assistance. The Mines financing program has resources totaling more than $21.1 million, including

  • $10.3 million in federal, state, and Mines grants and scholarships
  • $625,000 of work-study funds available for students
  • $10.2 million awarded in student loans
  • $1.9 million in scholarships awarded to students by outside donors

Graduate students are encouraged to apply for financial support through the academic departments. Awards consist of teaching and research assistantships. Additional financial aid and student loans are available through the Financial Aid Office.
