The Graduate School
at Mines is open to graduates from four-year baccalaureate programs
at recognized colleges and universities. Admission to all graduate
programs is competitive, based on an evaluation of undergraduate
performance, test scores and references. Each department has its
own admission criteria, explained in the Academic Programs section
of this website.
All application materials are submitted to the Office of Graduate
Studies. Once application files are complete, they are forwarded
to the academic department review committee. All applications should
be submitted by the deadlines indicated on this page. Consult with
the academic department if you wish to be considered beyond this
date.
Application
fees are required from all applicants. Current fees are $50 for
the online domestic application, $70 for online international application
and $100 for the paper application. Currently enrolled Mines students
applying online are charged a discounted application fee of $25.
We will also grant fee waivers to students participating in the
Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program.
