The cost of health care in the United States is very expensive, and all International Students and their families MUST HAVE health insurance.

If you do not choose to take the school health insurance policy, you must submit proof that the insurance policy you have chosen meets the minimum requirements set forth by Colorado School of Mines. The submittal of proof for the family is only to establish they have some insurance coverage.

There are many companies that deal specially with international students and their families. The prices vary depending upon the size of your family and also on the amount of coverage you prefer.

Again, proof of other insurance policies must meet the requirements set forth by Colorado School of Mines Health Insurance Policy.
