Freshman Transfer Credit
We accept select transfer credit from other colleges and universities. A course may be eligible for transfer credit if the following applies:
Student provides CSM with an official transcript from an accredited college or university.
Student earned a grade of "C" or better (we will not accept a C-) in the course he/she is attempting to transfer.
The course is equivalent to a course we offer at CSM – this may need to be determined by a review of your coursework by the appropriate academic department.
As a good rule of thumb, if you are planning on taking a math or science course at another college or university, make sure you keep all of your coursework from the class - the syllabus, graded tests and/or quizzes given back by the instructor, lab work, and graded homework. We may request coursework for departmental review.

International Baccalaureate Credit

Credit for the International Baccalaureate program is granted to students who score a 5, 6, or 7 (generally) on selected standard and higher-level exams. IB scores are used by the Registrar to place students in appropriate freshman courses. In some cases, departmental approval is required before credit is granted. Credit is shown as transfer credit on the CSM transcript, however no grade is associated with the credits
