Mines goes MediEval for E-Days 2008

GOLDEN, Colo., March 20, 2008 – Colorado School of Mines students will celebrate a middle ages-themed Engineer's Days (E-Days) April 3-5.

Highlights of this year's event include:

• A fireworks show at Brooks Field at 9 p.m. April 3
• The Ore-cart pull to the State Capitol begins at 8:15 a.m. April 4. Students will make their annual march from the intersection of Simms Street and Colfax Avenue to downtown Denver where Gov. Bill Ritter will read a Mines E-Day proclamation around 11:30 a.m.
• A concert featuring Kristen Key, I Hate Kate and Goldfinger at 7 p.m. April 4
• The Cardboard boat race on Clear Creek at 10:30 a.m. April 5

Other festivities include a car show, battle of the bands, hot wings eating contest and a charity barbecue. For more information, see full schedule.
