GOLDEN, Colo. , Feb. 15, 2007 – Colorado School of Mines will host its 17 th Annual Wellness Day Feb. 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the ballrooms of the Ben Parker Student Center at the corner of 16 th Street and Maple Street in Golden.
A variety of local health and wellness experts will gather to share their wares and promote healthy lifestyles in the Mines community. This year's event includes massage, yoga, outdoor activities and fitness, health screenings, stress management, fatal vision goggles, body fat testing, healthy foods, pet adoptions and more. Participants can play fun contests, win prizes, view demonstrations and receive giveaways.
Wellness Day, which is free and open to the public, promotes the five dimensions of wellness: Physical, emotional, spiritual, social and intellectual. Participants are encouraged to gather information from vendors representing all facets of wellness, reinforcing the need to develop each area for optimal health.
