Mines' Unconventional Natural Gas Institute holds first workshop
GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 14, 2010 – The Colorado School of Mines Unconventional Natural Gas Institute (UNGI) will host a workshop, “Technical and economic challenges in commercial development of unconventional gas reservoirs,” beginning at 8 a.m. Oct. 21 in Petroleum Hall in the Green Center, 924 16th St.
A multidisciplinary audience including members from the energy industry, academia and government organizations from around the world are expected to attend the one-day workshop. Discussions will focus on the strategic, economic and technical challenges involved in exploration, development and production of the vast reserves around the globe. Possible solutions for these challenges from the geoscience, engineering, environmental, socioeconomic and policy perspectives also will be covered.
