Mines elects first faculty trustee
GOLDEN, Colo., June 10, 2008 – The Colorado School of Mines faculty senate elected John Dorgan, professor of chemical engineering, as the School’s first faculty trustee. He was sworn in June 6 for a term running through Dec. 31, 2010.
Dorgan has been on the Mines faculty since 1993. Currently, he is the site director for the Colorado Center for Biofuels and Biorefining, a Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory center.
Dorgan received the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 1995 and is a Hertz Fellow.
