Mines launches emergency alert system
GOLDEN, Colo., March 3, 2008 – Colorado School of Mines is implementing Mines Emergency Alerts, a system that will send text and voice messages to cell phones of students, faculty and staff in the event of a declared emergency.
The voluntary new text and voice messaging alert will work alongside Mines’ current campus broadcast voicemail and mines.edu e-mail notification system, as well as Web site announcements and more.
