CCC is a workplace campaign providing a way for state government employees to donate to charities that benefit Coloradans. The total number of donors statewide in 2008 was 7,156, with an average gift of $236 — Mines’ average gift per donor was $411.

"We were very pleased to see increased response over 2007 this year. Even with the unfolding economic uncertainty, total contributions increased by $2,767 to $36,596 and the number of participating faculty and staff grew to 100 from 82," said Mike Dougherty, Mines associate vice president for human resources.

In the 20-year history of the CCC, state employees donated more than $22 million. Annual contributions have tripled since the CCC raised $540,595 in its first year.
“I was impressed by the high turnout at the kick-off event and the generosity of the Mines community in supporting various charities and organizations,” said Mari Gardner, Mines lead CCC coordinator.
