Mines to hold public meeting regarding campus master plan
GOLDEN, Colo., March 2, 2010 – Colorado School of Mines will hold a public meeting regarding the school’s master plan at 6:30 p.m. March 15, in the Ben Parker Student Center Ballrooms, 1200 16th St.
A short formal presentation of the master plan process will be given followed by a public input session.
The master plan defines the university’s physical needs associated with its strategic direction. It is comprehensive and dynamic and provides the necessary framework for physical development of the campus. Recognizing the Mines campus is a major physical and cultural element of the City of Golden and its future growth will continue to shape the city, Mines seeks public input to help formulate the revision to the school’s 2004 Master Plan.
A second public meeting will be held April 19. The final plan presentation will be held in early July, the exact date to be determined at a later time.
Parking will be available in Lot D which is directly west of the Parker Student Center on Elm Street and Lot P, on Maple Street east of the Parker Student Center.
