ASEE awards Mines chemical engineering professor Lifetime Achievement AwardGOLDEN, Colo., March 3, 2011 – Mines Professor of Chemical Engineering Dr. Ronald Miller has been selected for the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Lifetime Achievement Award in Chemical Engineering Pedagogical Scholarship.
The award recognizes a sustained career in pedagogical scholarship that prompted innovated changes while inspiring younger educators to new behaviors that benefit students in chemical engineering.
The Lifetime Achievement Award in Chemical Engineering Pedagogical Scholarship is presented on an as-merited basis, not necessarily annually. Previous awardees include T.W. Fraser Russell of the University of Delaware (2009), Klaus D. Timmerhaus of the University of Colorado (2008), and John W. Prados of the University of Tennessee (2007).
Dr. Miller will be presented the award at the 2011 ASEE meeting during the Chemical Engineering Division banquet in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 27, 2011.
