Molasses Biscuits

From Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Healthy Dogs and Cats

2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 Cup Cornmeal
1/2 Cup Soya Flour
1/4 cup sunflower / pumpkin seeds
2 tablespoons Oil, melted butter or fat
1/4 cup unsulfered or black strap molasses
2 eggs
1/4 cupmilk

Combine eggs and milk. Mix dry ingredients and seeds together. Add oil, molasses and all but 1 tablespoon of the eggs and milk mixture. Add more milk if needed to make a firm dough.

Knead for a few minutes - let rest for 1/2 hour or more. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes. Brush with the egg/milk mixture.

Bake on cookie sheets at 350F for 30 minutes or until lightly toasted. To make biscuits harder, leave in the oven with the heat turned off.

[Note: You can quadruple the recipe if you add more milk...and you can sprinkle some sesame seeds over them for added flavor after they have been basted.]
