Nick Kubala

Nick has recently completed is bachelor's degree at Mines and is starting the graduate portion of his combined BS/MS degrees in chemical engineering.  He has studied the reaction limits involving molecular oxygen and different metal precursors. Currently he is focused on the synthesis of titania by pulsed PECVD, comparing the suitability of halide versus organometallic precursors.  Nick was a standout on the Mines soccer team, and with a final year of eligibility remaining he has been drafted by the Football team to perform their kicking duties.
