The search output is a list of authors + publication date. Clicking on items in this list yields the full bibliography entry.
Entries with a single '*' at the end are likely to be in the instructor's files. If you want to see these items, ask. The number in '[ ]''s at the upper left is an index number to these files. Having this number helps when you ask to see an item.
Boolean AND (match all search words) and OR (match at least one search word) searches are provided. The search is not case sensitive.
The search words are interpreted as UNIX regular expressions. Thus to search for items containing the expression 'Rio Grande', one enters the search word 'rio.*grande' (without the single quotes). This finds all entries contianing a word beginning with 'rio' and ending with 'grande' separated by a space or any combination of space and symbols.
The search includes journal titles as well as article titles and annotations. Thus a search on 'field' will tutn up not only articles with 'field' in the title, but also all articles from the Journal of Field Archaeology,
