ADEPT
Electronic Handbook for Aquifer Analysis
Order No: TPS 31

The ADEPT software is a standalone electronic handbook that provides complete hydraulic analyses of aquifer test data using Mathcad for Windows spreadsheet files. The package includes mathematical solutions for 1) unconfined, confined, and leaky aquifers; 2) flowing well functions; 3) distance and timedrawdown analyses; 4) wellfield analyses; 5) corrections for partially penetrating pumping wells; 6) slug test analyses; 7) recharge boundary and recharge basin analyses; 8) analyses of drawdown near noflow and constanthead boundaries; 9) fractured aquifer analyses; and, 10) well efficiency, capturezone analyses, and waterheat balances. Online, hypertext help features of Windows. ADEPT conducts analyses based on existing MathCAD spreadsheets. ADEPT contains DATA VISUALIZATION: drawdown/displacement vs. time or distance; logdrawdown/displacement vs. time or distance; log-drawdown/displacement vs. log-time or log-distance; and drawdown/displacement vs. log-time or log-distance; SLUG TESTS: Bouwer & Rice; Cooper-Bredehoeft-Papadopulos; Hvorslev; Kipp oscillatory well response; and van der Kamp oscillatory well response; PUMPING TESTS: anisotropic aquifer; bounded aquifer; confined aquifer drawdown; fractured aquifer; leaky aquifer drawdown; partially-penetrating well; residual drawdown recovery; unconfined aquifer drawdown; variable discharge test; sloped/wedge-shaped aquifer; and large-diameter well; MISCELLANEOUS: confined aquifer well field; Thornthwaite water budget; well efficiency; infinite domain capture zone; Hantush's rectangular recharge basin; and Hantush's circular recharge basin. The proprietary electronic handbook operates within the MathCAD 5.0 for Windows environment sold by MathSoft Inc. Developer: B.S. Levy.
