PHREEQC 2.13.2
PHREEQC version 2.13.2 batch versions are provided for Windows and
Linux.
CDMUSIC surface complexation model--Version 2.13.2 includes an
implementation of the CDMUSIC Charge Distribution MUltiSIte
Complexation model of Hiemstra and Van Riemsdijk. However, no CD_MUSIC
database is currently available for PHREEQC.
Multicomponent diffusion (MCD) transport capabilities--MCD allows
different tracer diffusion coefficients for species, but calculates
charge balanced transport.
PHREEQC is distributed with a new database, phreeqd.dat, which
includes diffusion coefficients for each aqueous species.
Additional BASIC functions were added to obtain and modify the
porosity in a cell.
Mobile surface and Donnan option in SURFACE have been added
for modeling transport of colloids. Only surfaces with
a diffuse double layer can be transported (the ensemble must be
electrically neutral). Surfaces related to equilibrium-phases
and kinetics cannot be transported.
Added special BASIC function to change the diffusion
coefficient of (part of) a SURFACE, and hence to change the
status from mobile to immobile or immobile to mobile.
Redox reactions have been enabled with the Pitzer model, but no
database that uses this capability is included in the distribution.
Other modifications and bug fixes for version 2.13.2 are detailed in the
file RELEASE.TXT, which is included in all distributions.
PhreeqcI 2.13.2
PhreeqcI Version 2.13.2 contains the batch version of PHREEQC, version 2.13.2. This version of PhreeqcI contains the latest version of PHREEQC and has minor bug fixes.
PHAST 1.3.2
PHAST Version 1.3.2 contains PHREEQC 2.13.2, including CDMUSIC
surface complexation capabilities.
Restart capability--Chemical compositions of cells can be saved and
used as initial conditions for subsequent runs. The grid should be the
same for the restart run as for the run that generated the restart
file. In general, it is assumed that the boundary condition types and
media properties will be the same for the restart run. However, it
should be possible to change boundary condition types and media
properties in subsequent simulations, provided the grid remains the
same. The restart capability relies on revisions to the code that
uses this capability is included in the distribution.
Other modifications and bug fixes for version 2.13.2 are detailed in the
file RELEASE.TXT, which is included in all distributions.
WPhast 0.4.2
WPhast 0.4.2 is updated to the latest PHAST. WPhast is a test version graphical user interface for PHAST written by Scott Charlton. This GUI runs only on Windows computers. The interface is good for developing quick simple models. It does not handle irregularly shaped regions as well as GoPhast. You can generate the .trans.dat file and run PHAST from within the interface. The .chem.dat files can be generated with PhreeqcI, Phreeqc For Windows, or an editor. You must install the batch version of PHAST to be able to use the utilities Model Viewer and PhastHDF, which are useful for any modeling effort with PHAST.
GoPhast
GoPhast is a graphical user interface for PHAST written by Rich Winston. It is available at http://water.usgs.gov/nrp/gwsoftware/GoPhast/GoPhast.html. This GUI will run on Windows or Linux computers. The interface is particularly good at representing irregular regions. It generates the .trans.dat file. You must install the batch version of PHAST to run the model and to install the utilities Model Viewer and PhastHDF. The .chem.dat files can be generated with PhreeqcI, Phreeqc For Windows, or an editor.
