HIGHLIGHTS

  • Gold Rush Linker can help you locate full text articles from non-full text databases such as ArticleFirst.
  • In a non-full text (i.e., citation- or abstract-only) database look for  "Search for Full Text" or the "GR Linker" icon.
Gold Rush Linker
Gold Rush Linker can provide links to full-text articles (if available) from many of the Library's journal citation- and abstract-only (e.g., non-full text) databases such as OCLC ArticleFirst.  Along with full-text links, Gold Rush Linker also can provide access to useful related resources such as other works by the same author.

To access Gold Rush Linker look for a link that says "Search for Full Text" in an article's citation or the following button:

When you click on the link, a Gold Rush Linker pop-up Window appears:

This Window includes the following information:

  • Gold Rush Linker Article Citation (at the top of the Window)
    • Use this information to confirm that Gold Rush Linker has located the correct document.  The citation should be as complete as possible and include author, article title, journal title, volume, ISSN and date information.  This citation could also be used to obtain the document through Inter-Library Loan or search for it in a library catalog.
  • Direct Access to Article
    • These links will take you to the full text of the article if it is available.
  • Full Text Online from Provider
    • These links lead to full-text journal citation databases or online journal providers that may provide access to this document (or to related or similar documents).  These links typically take you to the provider's search interface, not to the document itself.  Note the information provided in the coverage fields as coverage differs from provider to provider.  These links can also be helpful to look for related articles.
  • Full Text in My Library
    • This link will connect you to the journal's record in Catalyst.  This can be helpful to check if the journal can be found in the Library stacks.
  • Article Request via Document Delivery
    • Use this link to request the article if online full text is not available.
  • Indexing Only Resources (no full text)
    • Other citation databases that include this journal.  Useful to look for related articles.
  • Other Resources
    • Provides links to other potentially useful resources related to the document.

If you have citation information in-hand, use "Article Finder" to locate full-text articles through input of basic information (article title, volume, issue, etc.).
