What is Catalyst: the online catalog for the Arthur Lakes Library at the Colorado School of Mines.

What does Catalyst contain: 500,000 records for print and electronic books, print and electronic journals, government documents, maps, archival holdings, and other materials at the Arthur Lakes Library.  It also contains records for most of the items which are on order but have not yet been received.

What can Catalyst do: search for and locate an item in the Library and determine its availability — (not checked out, charged to a patron, at the bindery, etc. ). Catalyst also allows you to view your patron account, place requests (hold or recall an item), or renew an item you have checked out

What isn't in Catalyst: information about specific journal articles is not available in Catalyst. Catalyst can be used to help you determine which journals are subscribed to by the Library. To find out if the library has a specific article, use Article Finder.

Special collections not in Catalyst: that have their own online catalogs include the Tell Ertl Oil Shale Repository, the Information Center for Ropeway Studies and the Image  Database.

For more information: see the User Guide, or drop by the Circulation Desk for a brochure.
