  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
    • Climate Information and Services - The Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorology (OFCM) mission is to coordinate all federal meteorological activities and provides information by ensuring "the effective use of federal meteorological resources by leading the systematic coordination of operational weather requirements and services, and supporting research, among the federal agencies."
    • Online Climate Data Directory - "NCDC is the world's largest active archive of weather data."
    • Earth System Research Laboratory - "ESRL was formed to pursue a broad and comprehensive understanding of the Earth system. This system comprises many physical, chemical and biological processes that need to be dynamically integrated to better predict their behavior over scales from local to global and periods of minutes to millennia."
    • NOAA Central Library - Access to the library's catalog, links to other NOAA websites, NOAA history, and especially the WindandSea page which contains links to over 1,000 selected oceanic and atmospheric sites arranged by subject.
  • Environmental Protection Agency Climate Change - "EPA's Climate Change Site offers comprehensive information on the issue of climate change in a way that is accessible and meaningful to all parts of society – communities, individuals, business, states and localities, and governments."
  • U. S. Geological Survey Climate Change Science - USGS Global Change Research activities strive to achieve a whole-system understanding of the interrelationships among earth surface processes, ecological systems, and human activities. Activities of the program focus on documenting, analyzing, and modeling the character of past and present environments and the geological, biological, hydrological, and geochemical processes involved in environmental change so that future environmental changes and impacts can be anticipated. The website includes links to research activities, data set availability, and fact sheets.
  • National Water and Climate Center - Provided by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
  • UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research - UCAR operates NCAR and UOP in partnership with the universities.
  • Colorado Climate Center - Offers a variety of summaries, reports, and current climatic conditions from automated weather stations in Colorado.
