    • Energy Information Administration - The DOE agency responsible for keeping energy statistics. See also Energy Statistics a part of FEDSTATS created by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy that links to EIA pages as well as other federal agencies providing energy-related statistics.
    • DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Informaiton (OSTI)
      • Science Accelerator - Offers a single search that "allows [one] to search via a single query accross important collections of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) scientific and technical information.  Such collections present the results of research and development (R&D) projects and programs, descriptions of R&D projects under way or recently completed, and major R&D accomplishments."
      • Energy Citations Database - Contains bibliographic citations (1948 forward) for energy-related information technical reports from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessors, the Energy Research & Development Administration (ERDA) and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC).
      • DOE Information Bridge - This database provides access to DOE scientific and technical information, mostly full text, from fiscal year 1994 forward.  An alerts section provides e-mail notification of updates in a specific area of interest.
      • E-print Network - A network of  "pre-publication drafts of journal articles (preprints), scholarly papers, technical communications, or similar documents relaying research results among peer groups."
      • EnergyFiles - Offers over 500 databases and websites containing energy-related information of interest to the DOE.  Information is accessible by subject or by title.
      • Science Conferences - Provides access to conference papers and proceedings (primarily U.S.) in fields of science and technology specifically of interest to the Department of Energy's mission.
      • DOE R&D Information - OSTI provides DOE R&D Accomplishments "containing searchable full-text and bibliographic citations of documents reporting accomplishments from DOE and DOE contractor facilities" and DOE R&D Project Summaries "projects of ongoing or recently completed DOE research projects ... pertain[ing] to a range of R&D disciplines in energy, science, and technology".
    • Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Offers an Energy Information Portal providing a "gateway to hundreds of websites and thousands of online documents on energy efficiency and renewable energy."

  • Energy Resources Program is a U.S. Geological Survey program examining the issue of affordable energy from environmentally acceptable energy sources.  
  • Browse Topics -- Energy - Browse topics provided by the Government Printing Office (GPO) on their GPO Access database.  Lists information found on the DOE webpage, other online energy resources, and energy related Federal legislation webpages.  Maintained by Lisa Nickum for the GPO.
  • Energy & Energy Conservation - Browse Topics provided by Science.gov.  Alphabetical list of energy-related government web sites.  The sites are compiled from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) SciTechResources.  Data are still being collected for this site, so it should not be considered comprehensive.
