Using IFS on CD-ROM

Field Name	Description
A_Begin_Date	The first year for which the annual series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at an annual frequency.
A_End_Date	The last year for which the annual series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at an annual frequency.
A_Update_Date	The date the series was last updated in the source database.
Avail Freq	The frequencies for which a given series exists. This field is visible within the series to retrieve box, but is not retrievable in the spreadsheet.
Base_Year	The base year for an indexed series, stored as a four-digit year.
(cell note)	Explanatory text associated with a break symbol is loaded as cell note that is attached to the corresponding observation.
Country	The country or country group associated with a series. The country is either derived from the country code contained within the Series_code or provided when the source database is registered.
Country_Code	The three-digit numeric country code associated with a series.
Database	The source database for a series.
Data_Type	Indicates whether the data is observed as "Average", "Flow", "Stock" or "Unknown" data.
Descriptor	A textual description or label for the series. If the English Descriptor in the database is blank, the national descriptor is used instead.
Fiscal_End	Three-character month abbreviation indicating the month in which fiscal year data ends.
M_Begin_Date	The first month for which the monthly series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at a monthly frequency.
M_End_Date	The last month for which the monthly series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at a monthly frequency.
M_Update_Date	The date the series was last updated in the source database.
National_Descriptor	The descriptor for the series in the national or official language of the country.
Partner	The partner country associated with a series, applicable for direction of trade data and to denote claims or liabilities on partner countries.
Q_Begin_Date	The first quarter for which the quarterly series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at a quarterly frequency.
Q_End_Date	The last quarter for which the quarterly series exists in the source database. If blank, then the series does not exist at a quarterly frequency.
Q_Update_Date	The date the series was last updated in the source database.
Scale	The scale of the data, i.e., "None", "Units", "Thousands", "Millions", "Billions", or "Trillions".
Scalefactor	The numeric value by which observations within the source database must be multiplied to yield the requested scale.
Series_Code	The series code or name in the source database.
Source	A textual description indicating the source of the data.
Table_Stub	A textual label for a series that is extracted from a table view.
Units	The unit of measure for a series, e.g., dollars, national currency, or barrels.
