The latest issue of selected journal titles is placed in the Browsing Room. Microfiche copies of selected titles are available in the computer area on the second floor. These periodicals do not check out. Search for the Journal Title in the online catalog (Catalyst) to verify what years the Library owns and their format and location.

Books: The circulating book collection is classified by the Library of Congress classification system and shelved by call number on floors 2M and 3. The Boettcher Room collection specializes in energy, environment and public policy materials. The Map room includes circulating books and atlases.  Oversize books are shelved on the third floor.

Theses: Theses submitted to the Colorado School of Mines form a special collection. They are filed by thesis number and must be requested from the Circulation Desk. Use Catalyst to obtain the thesis number.

Reserves: Materials that a professor has placed on reserve for use by a class are kept at the Circulation Desk located on the second floor, and may be checked out for a limited period of time.  You can search Reserves through Catalyst.

Reference: The Reference collection does NOT circulate. Reference assistance is available Monday through Friday, normally from 8 am to 5 pm, and by appointment. Please see the Reference Desk for changes in regular hours.
