Locating materials by Library of Congress Classification.

Arthur Lakes Library has 3 main and 2 mezzanine floors.  By floor, here is where you will find things in the Library:

First Floor (1)
· Government Publications Reference room
· Government Publications stacks (shelved by Superintendent of Documents number)
· Map Room (shelved by Library of Congress number)
· Wood Mining History Archive (by appointment only)
· Tell Ertl Oil Shale Repository ( see Reference)
· Collection Management and Preservation (see Preservation for thesis submission)
Microfiche/film reader/printer available in the Government Publications and Reference room
Restrooms and water fountain located on both east and west sides
Library workstations available in the Government Publications Reference room and Map room

First Mezzanine (1M)
· Journals (alphabetical by title: "Journal of. . ." - Z --these materials do not circulate)
· Newspapers (alphabetical by title)

Second Floor (2) -- main entrance
· Circulation desk (check in/out services, reserves, and CSM theses)
· Reference room (see Reference desk for hours)
· Boettcher room (Book Stacks Call numbers A - HD68)
· Browsing room (latest issues of selected current periodicals--these materials do not circulate)
· CSM Thesis collection (located at Circulation desk--request by thesis number obtained from Catalyst)
· Journals (alphabetical by title: A - J --these materials do not circulate)
· Computer area (CSM Computing Center PCs located on north side)
Library workstations available in Reference room and Boettcher room
Microfiche/film reader/printers available on north side in computer area
Restrooms and water fountain located on west side
Soda vending machines and public phone located in southwest corner
