The Earth Science Resource Center (ESRC) is a division
of the Office of Special Programs and Continuing Education at
the Colorado School of Mines. The ESRC publishes relevant science-related
materials. Several publications are currently available, including:
- Conference proceedings
- proceedings from previous conferences held both at CSM and around
the nation.
- K-12 publications - activities
for classroom teachers and other special interest publications.
- Special K-12 classroom aids - a plastic
groundwater model for classroom use.
- Atlas of Oil & Gas Plays on American Indian
Reservations - an atlas for professionals in the oil & gas exploration
field.

Plastic Ground Water
Model
The Denver Earth Science Project has developed a plastic ground
water model for classroom use. This ground water model can be
used to model an aquifer, recharge and discharge, and ground water
contamination. A page illustrating some possible hands-on activities is
included.
The plastic model is 12"x6"x2" and comes
complete with rubber stopper and pump. (Does not include gravel.) Cost:
