What is Tech Club?

Tech Club is an after-school club providing 14 contact hours over the course of a semester with each of four high schools.

Each year has a different theme; however, the projects that high school students will work on are designed to be completed in a single semester. This ensures that students with schedule conflicts one semester might still be able to participate later without experiencing a disadvantage.

A graduate student will lead these clubs and members from both industry and academia will participate throughout the three year span. This interaction provides the students an opportunity to interact with highly motivated and engaging professions and faculty that might help encourage them to pursue a college degree. It will also allow students to understand how significant remaining in advanced mathematics and science courses is to their future degree pursuits and subsequent employment in the engineering and technology industries.

When is Tech Club?

Tech Club is Still in development. It will be offered starting in the Fall of 2008 at Adams Country District 50 and Aurora Public Schools high schools.
