The Advanced Steel Processing and Products Research Center is located at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, and is dedicated to developing a national effort of excellence in ferrous metallurgy. The Center was initially established by the National Science Foundation as one of over fifty Industry/University Cooperative Research Centers. Now it is self-sufficient due to corporate partner support. The success of the center is based on an active and cooperative relationship between the industrial sponsors and the faculty, staff, and students involved in the center.
