Thesis Title: Quenching Optimization for Performance

Dan
Ph.D. Candidate Dan Baker analyzes the results of an Abaqus®Dante® simulation run. Heat treatment simulations which model different quenching conditions are being used to evaluate heat treating response of low alloy steels.  These results will provide an experimental link between phase transformation response, residual stress development, and distortion.
