Position: PhD Candidate
Start Date: August 2007

Research Interests:

Multiphase Flow in pipelines (especially high water cut systems), Kinetics of Hydrate formation & plugging, Transport phenomena, Modeling of hydrate formation (CSMHyK-fw-OLGA to predict plugging due to hydrates in oil pipelines)

Education:

2003-2007 B. Chem. Engg. (Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering), University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT), Mumbai, India.

2008 Flow Assurance with OLGA 2000, Scandpower Petroleum Technology, Houston, TX, May 2008

Current Research at CHR:

I am beginning to investigate the mechanism of hydrate formation in a water dominated pipeline. The next step would be to quantify and model the formation rate and also investigate the mechanism for plugging. The final outcome would be CSMHyK-fw-OLGA to predict the hydrate plug formation.
