PAT is an analytical model for the computation and graphical representation of pathlines and travel times of ground-water in an infinite or semi-infinite homogeneous and isotropic confined aquifer. The computed steady-state flow field can include arbitrary pumping and injection wells superimposed with a natural homogeneous regional flow which is consistent with the boundary chosen. The model can be used in an approximation for phreatic aquifers as well, as long as the saturated depth is large compared to the variations of the water table elevation.
PAT is menu-driven and fully interactive. All input is performed via input menus, and help screens are provided. The program produces tabular and graphical output, including HPGL files for path lines. PAT is distributed on DOS-formatted diskettes containing source code, executable image, and example data sets. The user's manual includes installation instructions and program documentation.
