Developed real-time data acquisition network system and real-time expert system to interpret the system health of a hydraulic test bench. Used Expert System Shell G2 by Gensym to complet e monitoring, diagnosis, and alarm handling of the system. Implemented on-line data interpretation, trending, and storage of hydraulic system sensor information. Developed visual interface to show the user alarm status and history of failed components.

Instructor for SUMMET Assisted in the coordination of Summer Minority Engineering Training Program (SUMMET) which is a program designed to give high achieving minority students' exposure to Engineering. Taught Mechanics of Materials and AutoCAD. Worked as a project coordinator on projects that emphasized the students applying the engineering skills that they learned throughout the program.

Research Assistant Research consisted of embedding a fiber optic strand into an Epoxy Research Resin to determine the feasibility of using fiber optics as a strain indicator. After the fiber optics were embedded into the epoxy, the epoxy was loaded. The reading from a strai n gauge was compared with the change in the light signal from the fiber optic strands embedded in the epoxy. Used Fiber Optic Reflectometer.
