Welcome

The mission of Academic Services is to support the educational mission of the Colorado School of Mines and to facilitate the achievement of academic success for all CSM students through the development and provision of resources that will:

  • Promote high quality academic advising provided by departmental advisors.
  • Provide academic support programs to strengthen study and learning skills.
  • Facilitate the successful integration of freshmen and transfer students into the Mines community.

 

Tutoring

Walk-in tutoring services are available to all CSM students for freshmen and sophomore courses (especially Calculus I, II and III, Differential Equations, Physics I and II, and Chemistry I and II) as well as some upper-level courses.

Tutoring begins Sunday, August 31, 2008.

Academic Excellence Workshops

Academic Excellence Workshops are designed for the student who wants regular, in-depth assistance to master information in a specific course.

Workshops begin Monday, September 1, 2008.

Academic Advising for Faculty and Students

Resources and information related to acedemic advisors, with two target audiences: Faculty and Students.

NEW: The Undergraduate Academic Advising Manual (UAAM) has been updated online. Find out anything you need to know about academic advising for faculty and students.

Freshman Success Seminar

Class materials for both students and Instructors/Mentors are available to download in Word documents - Fall 2008 classes.
